The rug is approx 5x7ft with an intricate rounded pattern of medallions, vines, and flowers. The pile is very short, soft, and shimmering golden yellow, sage green, coral, light blue, black, and cream. There is a delicate silk fringe framing the outside that is starting to wear with age.

Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is a Machine Made Touristic Quality Rug and Cover. The piece likely dates back to the 1990's. These were heavily mass produced at the time in everywhere from China to India. The piece does not have a collectible or artistic value since it is not a special or a hand made piece. The general decoration is floral with a muddy appearance of the motifs. The colour palette is very dynamic with bright and unharmonic colours. There are fringes on each side of the piece which where later attached to the piece. This also proves that the piece was not hand knotted. The material of the piece is likely cotton or some composite fiber on the main rug body. The piece is in good condition with signes of age and use.
