What does this mean?

Hi William,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
These WWI Victory medals are fairly common; it's not unusual for auctions to sell this with several other examples; a group of six recently sold for $450, or $75 per medal. If it has the original box it was presented in, that would add to the value a little
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A vintage bronze World War I Victory Medal
Designed by J. E. Fraser of New York City in 1919
with a double rainbow moire ribbon affixed with three bronze bars embossed "St. Miguel / Meuse-argonne / Defence sector." The front bearing the winged figure of Victory. On the reverse is the inscription The Great War for Civilization and the coat of arms for the United States surmounted by a fasces, and on either side the names of the Allied and Associated Nations.
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
