What does this mean?

Dear Gail,

Thank you for your help and patience.

The presented object appears to be an ink over the pencil drawing on paper with the measurements of 10 3/4 x 11 1/2 inches. The drawing depicts two men talking two each other. One man sits in an armchair and this study was probably made in a club. It was made and hand-signed by the American realist painter William James GLACKENS (1870-1938).
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 1.000 to 2.500 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
Georg
