Vintage Antique Old-World Porcelain Egg

This is a late 19th century vintage porcelain egg. On both sides of the egg, there is a large medallion with figural scene depicting a gentleman playing a violin and a lady seated in a landscape, with gilt highlights. The egg features many hand-painted details. There is waist banding in dark green with webbed gilt. The top of the egg is decorated with flowers, the back with a quatrefoil medallion with flowers, the white ground with floral decoration. and the egg has an open base. The egg weighs 965 grams and is 20.3 cm tall and 14 cm wide at its center.
