What does this mean?

Hi Rachelle,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Given the success and value associated with Murano glassware, there is a large trade in fakes, which are often excellent and usually impossible to discern from photos. However, this looks right from the photos and I've appraised it on the assumption that it is original.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A vintage Murano style hand-blown studio art glass candy bowl
unattributed studio, Murano, Italy, second half 20th Century
Of asymmetrical form, with one pinched end, the body comprised of clear glass with blue and gold caning , Unsigned.
2-1/2 inches high, 7 inches width
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, breaks, repairs or losses.
PROVENANCE: acquired at a second hand store
$100-150*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
