What does this mean?

This appraised piece appears to be part of a collection of drapery fabric in linen by Picasso manufactured by Bloomcraft in 1963. “Do not sit on them, please,” was what Picasso reportedly said in no uncertain terms after giving his permission to Bloomcraft’s venture in reproducing his drawings of harlequins and acrobats. This fabric was originally designed for décor and these playful sketches were taken from past drawings and paintings by Picasso.

This linen screen print depicts 4-5 almost complete images: 2 of horses and three of acrobats. The overall fabric measures 54 x 48 inches.

This drapery fabric doesn’t come often on the market and seems to be in mint condition. This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
