Big Satsuma porcelain vase, it looks Japanese and I was told it is from the XIX century and that it is called 1,000 faces.

It had been on display on my grandmother's house for as far as I can remember.

A monumental Japanese Satsuma enamel and parcel gilt porcelain "1000-faces" urn
made in Japan, mid/late 19th Century
Of circular section and ovoid form with domed knopped cover and shaped lipped foot. Profusely decorated all over with immortals in a landscape. Bearing shaped paper label to the bottom.
24 inches high x 16 inches wide
CONDITION: appears to be in excellent condition
PROVENANCE: inherited
