The appraised work appears to be an oil on canvas painting executed by Austrian painter Alois Arnegger (1879-1963). The painting depicts a wintertide mountainous landscape with a small structure in the foreground, flanked by greenery and snow-capped mountains in the background. Arnegger was most-known for his romantic landscapes. He was born in Vienna and studied under several notable painters, such as Robert Russ, at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
