Framed oil Signed Kerchoff ‘63

My Grand Father Served in WWII , After things calmed in Europe he was stationed there a while, He loved the art he was discovering in the war torn areas. He had a great appreciation for the simplicity of humans doing their best to survive. He told me he made acquaintances with Mr Kerchoff, helping him to re build his city with many others. My Grandfather was then ordered back home in the Us, After many years of keeping in contact with the artist , they met again on Houston 1963 as Kerchoff was a Guest at an exhibit. My grandfather house him for several weeks at his Houston Home before he returned to Europe. Every morning they painted while having biscutes and hatch coffee. This he left my grandfather
