Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Knotted Persian Bidjar style Indo-Bidjar Rug made in India. The piece dates back to the period from 1990 to 2005. Indo Bidjar pieces are Persian style rugs that are designed by the influence of Bidjar rug but in Indian weaving ateliers. The piece is centrallt decorated with a central medallion. The central medallion and the rest of the pattern is floral as well as the medallion's interior. The medallion is hexagonally designed as usual and native to Bidjar Rugs. The colours used on this piece is a lot less strong and quite stable on the contrary of the original Bidjar pieces from Persia. The piece carries the tracks of a touristic quality industrial rug. The central area's outline is designed as an octagonal shape, one large and one smaller. The piece is knotted wool on cotton. The knot density of the item is average for a Indo-Bidjar piece and therefore the motifs are rendered averagely. The piece's central area is knotted on a red base while the borders were decorated on a black base. The piece is in good condition without visible problems.
