Antique Persian Tribal Animal Rug

This is a very charming rug; I've not seen so many tiny animals before, which makes it particularly nice.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A vintage Caucasian Persian hand-loomed wool "animal" small carpet
early-mid 20th Century
In earth tones, the central field centering three hexagonal medallions, the entire design lushly filled with small animals (horses?), within a geometric border and cream selvedges (fringe trim).
4' by 6'9"
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; value assumes no odors, stains, tears or repairs
PROVENANCE: inherited
