Pair of laying bhuadds

Considering the photographs, overall pattern, materials and the colours, I concluded that this is a Casted Plaster and Wooden Pair of Laying Buddha Candle Holders. The pair dates back to the period from 1980 to 2000. Plaster imitations of the oriental pieces were very available and popular starting from the 1970's. This golden paint or "patina" applied on the pieces were to create a sort of sense that the pieces were old. The carved piece is made of wood and holds a more artistic value in comparison to the plaster piece. The facial gestures of the Buddha also clearly says that these are modern interpretations. The pair appears to be in fair condition with signs of use and age on them, more heavily on the plaster piece.
