Description from user:

They are called Apple Tree Girl and Apple Tree Boy. They have the Goebel marking on the bottom and numbers stamped into the bottom as well. They are in excellent condition. The boy has 142 3/0 stamped and the girl has 141 3/0 stamped. I believe according to the trademark that the girl is between 1960 and 1972 and the boy between 1972 and 1979. But I'm not an expert in it. LOL

I inherited them from my mother who recently passed away. I know she has had them 40 years or more. I am curious what their value is.

What does this mean?

Hi Stephanie,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Hummel figures were incredibly popular among collectors in the 1950s-1990s and there are a lot of them on the market, unfortunately with less demand than supply so it is quite rare for individual pieces to be worth more than $5-50 each, at auction. The value can occasionally be boosted if the piece retains its original factory packaging.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A assembled pair of MJ Hummel hand-painted porcelain collectible "Apple Tree Girl" and "Apple Tree Boy" figurines
each made by W. Goebel, West Germany, the boy bearing the TMK-5 / "Last Bee" mark in use from 1972-1979 and impressed mark "142 3/0;" The girl bearing the
Stylized Bee Mark / TMK-3 mark in use from 1960 to 1972 and with impressed mark "141 3/0."
Girl: 4 inches tall; Boy: 4-1/8 inches tall
CONDITION: both appear to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited
$30-50 each or $75-100 for the pair*
