Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Knotted Turkmen Bokhara Rug, the piece dates back to the period from 1920 to 1940. The piece is decorated with patterns of classical Bokhara Rugs with some interpretations on the central area. The central are of the piece is specially decorated and can be referred as unique. The piece is likely knotted wool on wool as usual to the period. The borders of the piece are classically decorated with Yomud patterns. The piece has a "mystique red" used on classical and Antique Bokhara pieces a composition of brick tone and red colour. The piece is generally heavily decorated and the knot density of the piece is quite high considering the usual density of contemporary pieces. Therefore the motifs are rendered in good quality with high precision. The lack of symmetry axes both on the vertical and horizontal axes might mean thath the piece was not commercially produced and was rather produced for personal use of the artist. These pieces are considerably more valuable an rare. The piece is in good condition with signes of use and age, colour loss in various areas.
