Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Knotted Indian Navajo Style Rug dating back to the period from 1960 to 1980. The piece was woven by the local Indian artists in classical Navajo Weaving style. The design of the piece can be seen as contemporary. The patterns are visibly floral depicting leaves, fruits and flowers. The pattern of the piece is very dynamic and the colours are very contemporary. These colours were likely chosen for the piece to fit in better a modern interior. Classical Navajo rugs does not traditionally have fringes, this is another detail that reveals the contemporary style and the late period of the piece.
