A Colonial Revival Federal style mahogany desk and bookcase
In the Massachusetts taste, made by Maddox Furniture Company, New York, mid 20th Century
In two or three sections, the upper section with flat top and molded cornice over a bookcase with glazed mullioned doors opening to a shelved interior, over a divided cupboard section with tambour slides, the base section comprising a hinged writing surface over two beaded long drawers, all raised on tall square tapering legs.
72 inches high by 36 inches wide by 19 inches deep
CONDITION: purportedly in good condition.
