Antique rocking chair, oak, family heirloom handed down at least 111 years. Has been reupholstered once, showing some wear on back rest. Lancaster/Quarryville Pennsylvania area. Measures 34" high floor to top, 24-1/2" wide, 24" back to front. Low sitting.

A Victorian carved oak and part-upholstered platform rocking armchair
late 19th Century
The heart-shaped back with acanthus-carved crest and pierced center, swag-decorated stiles and flat arms on shaped supports, an over-the-rail upholstered seat, all raised on rounded supports over rocking platform.
34 inches overall height 24 1/2 inches wide, 24 inches deep
CONDITION: wear commensurate with age and use. Reupholstered
