Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Machine Made Karastan Rug made in style of Persian Kerman Rugs. The piece dates back to the period from 1940-1970. The piece was decorated by the use of Kerman patterns, this is a paneled central decoration with floral design. This is likely s style of representation for the pattern of "Gardens of Heaven". This is used on Kerman and Bakhtiari Rugs especially. The piece was knotted with a wool pile, which means the surface of the piece is made of wool. Made in United States. The piece has a serial number of "277688". Karastan is one of the most imported brands in the history of Machine Made rugs in the United States. The piece is quite large in size. The colour palett of the piece is usual for heavily decorated kerman rugs. The piece is a collectible due to the pattern and the brand but it doesn not have artistic value since it was machine made. The piece is in good condition with minimal signes of use and age.
