What does this mean?

Hi Taylor,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
I couldn't find another Junghans clock with this same reserve painting to the door but it's better than standard issue Junghans mantle clocks that don't have that elongated door, most of which are bringing less than $200 these days.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

An antique Junghans carved, parcel gilt and eglomise walnut and oak mantel clock
made in Germany, late 19th Century
The lobed trefoil arched crest centering a turned finial and flanked by two turned finials, the case with parcel gilt carved egg-and-dart banding, the squared arched door with reverse-painted (eglomise) decoration open to a circular white-painted dial with Roman numeral chapter rings and pendulum, the interior bearing Junghans label, all flanked by turned oak colonnettes, on an outset gilt acanthus molded bracket base.
22 inches high, 12 inches wide, 6 inches deep
CONDITION: This clock appears to be in good physical condition and client warrants it works as well.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$200-400*
