This looks a little like mahogany to me - it doesn't change the value but I've added it to the list of possible woods just in case.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A Wiener Werkstatte mahogany / walnut / teakwood and brass hand-turned fruit bowl
In the manner of Carl Auböck, Continental, first half 20th Century
Of rounded rectangular form, with brass loop handles at each end.
