American or English, probably mid 20th Century
Of rectangular section with chamfered corners, (sterling) silver mounts, the lid with stylized foliate decoration, the base with rays. Marked "12" .
3-1/2 inches high, 11 inches wide, 4 inches deep
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition; value assumes no chips, losses or repairs
