Muzzle-loading flintlock pistol. 16" long. Appears to have all original parts -- not aware of any repairs or restoration. Fair to good condition. If there is a manufacturer's name, I can't locate it.
Believe it has been in my family for several generations.
Dear David,
Thank you for the additional images and your patience.
The presented object appears to be an 18th-century flintlock pistol, with brass wire inlays to the handle and brass hilt. There are no proof marks or producer marks visible. The brass wire inlay work can be found on British pistols but was also used in Mediterranean countries like Spain.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided. The screws are a later addition.
A fair market estimation would be between 150 to 300 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
