I've not be able to find another artist with first - or last name - Fairfax who painted in this style but it is similar to other works by early 20th Century European artists. As a large painting by an unknown artist, the value is primarily decorative.

Continental School, possibly French or Spanish, first half 20th Century
Urban landscape
oil on canvas
signed FAIRFAX lower right
30 by 40 sight size; giltwood frame 36 by 48 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in good condition
PROVENANCE: inherited
