The material of a ring is important for the price where platinum is the best quality and most expensive followed by gold in many variations and then sterlingsilver and silver. The ring appears to have minor signs of wear and use.

The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the engagement ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
