Lithograph of Colloseum in Rome? No. 19/60, signed in pencil in lower Right corner. Handwritten German message on front cover page. "Allen guten Wünsche zum Weinachtsfest für sie lieber Her Praeger (my father) und Hern _____ I can't quite make out the names in the message. Then it is signed by Hagedorn. No date.

The print was a Christmas present given by the artist to my Father.

What does this mean?

The appraised work appears to be a lithograph or possibly etching executed by American artist Edward Hagedorn (1902-1982). The print depicts an architectural structure similar to the Colosseum in Rome, with a series of repeating rounded arches. The artist working in both painting and printmaking and lived in the San Francisco area most of his life. He maintained a studio in Berkeley until his death.
