This is a 20th century, original panel painting on canvas of a half length image of a woman wearing a hat. It is signed and dated "Ludovic Booz '79". The artist, Ludovic Booz (1940 - 2015) was Haitian who was known for both sculpture and painting. The medium appears to be encaustic which is an ancient method of painting using pigment mixed with beeswax. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
