I was told this was Tibetan or from Thailand that it’s a holy water urn from a temple it is large and heavy and made of bronze there are three elephants holding it up is covered in Buddhas and snakes if you need anymore information please don’t hesitate to email me

What does this mean?

Dear Gary,

What you have here is a Thai sacrificial bowl made mid 20th century. Casting is quite sharp and a little rough. Debris on the bowl is deliberately done to suggest old age. I believe its made for export and for tourists to buy a lovely souvenir when they are in Thailand. Having said that; this bowl is very decorative and has good atmosphere. I believe if it came to auction it could fetch a price around the estimate I gave above.
