This is essentially identical to the other one your already appraised. When I bought them in the mid-1990s, I was told they were 19th Century Scottish regimental swords. Approximate dimensions of each sword: 6” x 39” x 1” blade.

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I apologize for the delay. This is an 1828 Scottish Highland regimental sword in good condition. The blade has some corrosion present, especially in the recessed areas, but is otherwise in good condition. The etching and detail is still sharp and visible. The hilt is in excellent condition, and the fish skin handle wrap is intact. The fabric inside the guard is in great shape and retains most of its original coloring. Since the last appraisal of the other sword, I have learned that the blades on the two pieces were made by Weyersburg Kirschbaum and Company in Solingen, Germany, and imported to Scotland to be assembled with the rest of the sword. Given the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimation is 1,800-1,900 dollars. Please reach out with any questions.
