Satinwood and mahogany teabox with inlaid shell designs on top of the lid, inside and out. Brass clawfeet, de minimus ivory knobs and lock. In good shape for its age. Has glass mixer with no chips.

Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

A George III satinwood inlaid mahogany and gilt metal mounted tea caddy
English, late 18th/early 19th Century
Of rectangular section banded-edge-inlaid top with shell inlay to the top and bottom of the top, the interior fitted with two reserves with lift-off tops with ivory pulls flanking a central reserve with (later) cut/pressed glass vessel, on four paw-form gilt-metal feet.; the sides with lion's-head form ring handles. Presumably unmarked.
