Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A Chippendale style mahogany or maple desk and bookcase
In the New England manner, first half 20th Century (circa 1930)
In two sections, the upper part with broken swan's-neck pediment centering an urn finial over two glazed mullion bookcase doors opening to a shelved interior, the lower part with slant lid opening to a divided writing interior over a serpentine case fitted with four graduated long drawers, all raised on ball and claw feet.
79 inches high, 30 inches wide, 15 inches deep
CONDITION: wear commensurate with age and use; some sunfading probable
PROVENANCE: inherited; client's parents acquired this new circa 1930s
