What does this mean?

Hi Tracey,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Heinrich Handwerck dolls, crafted in Germany from the late 19th century to the early 20th century, are esteemed for their exquisite craftsmanship and lifelike appearance. These dolls, typically made of bisque porcelain and composition torsos and limbs, boast delicately painted features, finely detailed hair, and articulated bodies. Their quality materials and meticulous construction have made them prized possessions among collectors worldwide. Handwerck's production spanned a range of doll types, from baby dolls to elegant fashion dolls, each reflecting the era's fashion and cultural trends. Renowned for their realism and charm, Heinrich Handwerck dolls continue to captivate enthusiasts and hold a significant place in doll-making history.
Though most HH dolls in good condition bring between $300-500 in the auction market these days, the loss of the hands is unfortunate and negatively impacts its value...it's more appropriately valued at $100-150.
