Description from user:

See photos, all the information I have is on the label.

My friend gave me these rugs that were sitting in a warehouse for years, we do not know any details of where they came from originally.

Hello Sukkah,

I’m very glad that you chose Mearto for your online appraisal,

Considering the photographs, overall pattern, knot density and the colours, I concluded that this is an Entirely Hand Knotted Turkish Karabagh or Karabakh Kilim. The piece dates back to the period from 1950 to 1970. The piece was likely made in the Southern Caucasian Region in Turkey's Eastern Anatolia Region. The piece was entirely florally decorated by two medallions with Karabagh Roses. The piece's central area is decorated on a black base while the borders were constrcuted by a chain of floral patterns. The piece is knotted wool on wool as usual to the piece from this region. The wool used on the piece is hand spun. The piece is in good condition with small signs of use and age.

Entirely hand knotted.

Dimensions: 308 by 168 Centimeters.

Condition: The piece is in good condition with small signs of use and age.

Provenance: Given to the current owner by a friend.

Heavily decorated by traditional Karabagh patterns.

1400-2000$.
