1904 fine art painting

I've done a search of several of the fine art auction databases we have access to and have not found any artist by the name of Tolbrio. I suspect the signature is partially obscured by the frame; if you are able to carefully remove the painting from the frame, we could have a better idea of who painted this lovely scene.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:

German School, early 20th Century
Untitled (landscape with sheep), dated 1904
oil on canvas
signed indistinctly "Tolbrio?"
16 by 22 inches
CONDITION: with some craquelure and yellowing to the varnish
PROVENANCE: inherited; client's grandfather purchased it in Germany
$300-500*
