made by E.G. Soltmann, New York, 1895-1905
with original box with original leather strap (broken), original hardware, functioning lock with original key, original plumb bob.
Case: height: 368mm (14-1/2 inches); width: 323.8mm (12-3/4 inches); depth: 212.7mm (8-3/8 inches)
CONDITION: Original case with broken leather strap; lacking tripod. Otherwise, this transit is in very good original working condition.
PROVENANCE: Acquired from a dealer/gallery
