Description from user:

Noritake dinnerware gifted from a Japanese businessman to my father in Japan in 1955/56. Smooth gold edging, pattern of white wild roses, rosebuds and leaves around the edges, no centre pattern. Back reads Noritake, with a yellow and green seal, and NIPPON TOKI KAISHA. All in excellent condition, no chips, no cracks, no signs of use.

Sorry, I wrote some of this in the last dialog. My father lived in Osaka for a year in 1955/56 overseeing the construction of an oil tanker. He contracted a Japanese company to outfit the ship. In thanks, the chandler gifted my father this 12 place setting of dinnerware plus serving dishes. I have a letter from the chandler with his name. I have not been able to find the seal, the pattern of the dishes or any other information on any other websites, probably since this pattern was never sold in North America, nor on American military bases.
